Niramaya Health Foundation, with support from APM Terminals, implemented the SAHYOG Project to support communities in selected villages around JNPT, Uran during FY 2025–26. The project focused on women’s vocational training and educational support for school students. Advanced tailoring training was provided to 22 women with basic stitching skills to help them enhance their skills and start income-generating activities. The two-month training covered blouse and dress patterns, followed by certificate distribution and tailoring kits.
Educational materials such as notebooks, colour pens, books, drawing books, mats, and sports items were provided to selected schools, including Punade ZP School, Sarade ZP School, Pirkon School, Chirner Ashram School. The project also supported specific infrastructure needs, including a water filter at Aware ZP School and cupboards at Chirner Ashram School and Punade Prathamik ZP School, based on their requirements.
The initiative helped strengthen livelihood opportunities for women and improved the learning environment for students in the selected villages.
