Niramaya Health Foundation believes in this Sanskrit Phrase and work towards creating the community which is healthy, well aware and wise to take appropriate life decisions.
Niramaya Health Foundation is Not for Profit Organization registered under Section 8 companies act, working in Mumbai slums and rural parts of India for past 20 years. Niramaya works on three important components of the population i.e. Children, Mothers and Adolescents to break intergenerational cycle of the malnutrition. Along with its Health and nutrition program, the organization also tries to address related social causes such as addiction, Gender issues which affect individual’s health and nutrition.
Niramaya Health Foundation works with urban poor to enable them to practice healthy dietary and hygiene practices and avail available government health services through awareness creation and better linkages with local government agencies.
Tackling nutritional issues of urban slums is complex, Niramaya adapts multi-dimensional approach where we work with individuals, communities and government to address this issue in holistic manner.
