Project Aarogyajeevan

The AarogyaJeevan Project is one of the significant programs of the Niramaya Health Foundation which is being implemented in the Andheri west and Jogeshwari East slum communities through the support of the Wipro Cares Foundation since year 2018. The project aims at Preventive and curative healthcare with a special focus on Child malnutrition. The project has touched more than 3 lakh community people till June 2022.

The AarogyaJeevan Project aims to improve the health status of mothers and newborn babies by ensuring effective antenatal and postnatal care. The project also focuses on improving the nutritional status of children up to 10 years of age by ensuring healthy dietary practices. The anemia Detection and Reduction program is also organized under the project for Adolescent girls to improve their health status. As a part of preventive healthcare, health promotion activities and home visits are carried out through Niramaya’s health workers to reach out to community people. Need-based curative services are provided to community people.
